This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of chainsaw safety, basic saw handling for limbing and bucking operations, general maintenance and sharpening, as well as small tree felling. It is broken down into four modules:

Module 1: Chainsaw Safety
- Introduction to the course and learning objectives
- A review of arboricultural industry incidents with an emphasis on chainsaw use
- Basic and recommended personal protective equipment
- Work site and emergency planning

There are 3 additional modules that are included with the purchase and completion of Module 1; however, they must be completed in sequential order to access the next course.
